Semi-finalist at the parade
The National Dominican Day Parade is honored each year with awarding scholarships and stipends to students of Dominican descent located in the United States and its territories.
The scholarship committee’s mission is to implement a selection process based on diversity and inclusion that fairly avails and rewards a wide range of students in their academic journey. Our selection criteria is based on academics, financial need and the student’s commitment to community engagement.
Each year, the National Dominican Day Parade awards multiple scholarships as fiscally permitted. Additionally, a student is selected as an intern to work closely with the committee for fifteen (15) months, as serving as a representative and liason between the Board of Directors and scholarship student body. In additiona, student selected for awards will march in the Dominican Day Parade celebrated the second Sunday of August.
