Our Scholarship Program:
In 2023, we upheld our dedication to education by granting scholarships to 35 deserving students. This marked a significant milestone, as our total scholarship amount has now exceeded one million dollars since 2015. Your support has not only enabled us to offer vital financial assistance but also to provide valuable internships and leadership training, nurturing the future leaders of our Dominican Community.
Cultural Celebrations:
We’ve celebrated our Dominican heritage and culture with great pride. Our theme “Our History, Our People” brought us closer to our roots, celebrating our vibrant music, dance, and artistic traditions. We’ve also emphasized the cultural richness that the Dominican diaspora brings to American society.
The past year reaffirmed that together, we are stronger. Our Parade, Awards Gala and Borough Heritage Celebrations showcased the resilience and spirit of our community.
2023 Dominican Day Parade – Our History, Our People.
The 2023 National Dominican Day Parade celebrated Dominican heritage and unity with President Luis Abinader as Grand Marshal, NATTI NATASHA as Queen, and DJ ADONI as King. Antonio Cabrera, Cacique of Hope, and Los Lideres, Banda Real, were recognized. Celines Toribio received a Lifetime Achievement Award, and Dr. Philip Ozuah received special recognition. The theme, “Our History, Our People,” celebrated Dominican culture and community achievements, thanks to honorees and sponsors who promoted unity, empowerment, and our vibrant heritage.
As we look ahead to 2024, we carry the momentum of 42 years of growth, progress, and empowerment. Our journey continues, and we invite you to be a part of the ongoing success story. Your continued sponsorship and partnership will enable us to reach even greater heights.
