POLICY AND PROCEDURE: VEHICLE/MUSIC
- All vehicles must comply with New York City Law Decibels 80-85 dB, noise restrictions threshold on parades. NYPD will enforce fines of $140 to $3,000 for violators (NY.gov+2). As well as permit revoke for future participation in the NatDDP.
- All vehicles must comply with noise reduction at 50th Street and maintain 45 db noise level until 48th Street (reduce noise level in half). High volume interferes with the broadcasting, streaming, interviews, Main Stage performances, announcements of sponsorships, promotions and media coverage adjacent to the Main Stage and the VIP area on 47th Street. NatDDP Board Members and Public Safety Officials will be at 50th Street to ask vehicles to lower the volume. Non-compliance, violators will have their permits revoked for future parades and will be expulsed from the parade route by the NYPD. Raised volume (NYC Law 80-85 db) will resume after crossing VIP area at 48th street until the end of the Parade.
- All vehicles participating in the Parade will be registered prior to the Parade. There will be strict enforcement of matching license plate and photo verification. Only vehicles that match our records will be allowed into the Parade route. ALL OTHER VEHICLES that are not in our records will be turned away by the NYPD, NatDDP Board Members, and Public Safety Officials. Forced entry into the Parade and violators will be subjected to fines, serious NYPD law enforcement consequences, and future permit revoked from the Parade.
