Dominican Day Parade announces $200,000 in scholarships

June 1, 2021 by Dominican |

In days of slavery one of the ways to keep people depressed was by not educating them.

Nowadays receiving education is one of the greatest benefits, and by receiving it we have the responsibility of being able to transmit it. This is the main purpose of the Dominican Day Parade.

The Parade announced fifty-two winners of a total of $200,000 in scholarships awarded to promising students of Dominican descent across the United States.

THE NATIONAL DOMINICAN DAY PARADE

The Dominican Day Parade is a joyful celebration of all things Dominican. Each year, we come together in New York City to honor our heritage and culture and to recognize the many accomplishments Dominicans have made in United States, and around the world. With music, dancing, and over 10,000 marchers, there is plenty of fun to go around; this is an event you do not want to miss!
