Scholarships Program
The National Dominican Day Parade is honored each year with awarding scholarships and stipends to students of Dominican descent located in the United States and its territories.
Mission
The scholarship committee’s mission is to implement a selection process based on diversity and inclusion that fairly avails and rewards a wide range of students in their academic journey. Our selection criteria is based on academics, financial need and the student’s commitment to community engagement.
Overview
Each year, the National Dominican Day Parade awards multiple scholarships as fiscally permitted. Additionally, a student is selected as an intern to work closely with the committee for fifteen (15) months, as serving as a representative and liason between the Board of Directors and scholarship student body. In additiona, student selected for awards will march in the Dominican Day Parade celebrated the second Sunday of August.

How to apply
In order to apply for a scholarship through the National Dominican Day Parade organization, the applicant is required to fill out a form on the organization website, and submit it together with the necessary documentation: transcripts, two letters of recommendation, resume and essay. Once this step is completed the applicants selected go through an interview process, run by the NatDDP scholarship committee
